What's the difference between fiat and crypto pricing?
All plans include both fiat currencies and virtual assets in the stated counts. For example, Builder tier includes 15 fiat + 15 crypto. You can mix and match based on your needs. Sandbox offers a choice: 2 fiat OR 5 crypto to let you test whichever asset type you need.
What's the difference between Sandbox and paid plans?
Sandbox provides daily snapshots of indicative rates for testing only. Paid plans provide production-grade data with higher update frequencies: Starter (hourly), Builder (5-minute), Growth (1-minute live), and Enterprise (sub-minute with guarantees).
What does "live" data mean?
Growth tier (1-minute updates) and Enterprise tier (sub-minute) are considered "live" data suitable for trading applications. Builder tier (5-minute) is "near real-time" suitable for production apps and dashboards. Starter tier (hourly) is ideal for internal tools and reference data.
How does on-chain access work?
Growth and Enterprise plans include access to our standard DeFi-compatible smart contracts. Avalanche C-Chain is our canonical root (source of truth) with low fees and sub-second finality. Base and Arbitrum are next, followed by Celo and Solana.
Can I upgrade or change assets later?
Yes, you can upgrade your plan or add/remove assets at any time. Changes take effect at your next billing cycle. Add-on packs of 5 assets are available for $29/mo.
What is Economic Intelligence?
Economic Intelligence is our premium add-on that provides quantitative analytics beyond raw prices. How does AFXO compare to other oracles?
Traditional oracles like Chainlink have limited coverage for emerging markets — only a handful of currencies. AFXO covers 50+ fiat currencies including 23 African, 6 Latin American, and 6 Asian currencies that others don't support. What is TrueRandom?
TrueRandom is AFXO's verifiable randomness service. It uses a dedicated committee of 8 nodes with 5-of-8 threshold BLS signatures—combining distributed randomness (like Gelato/drand) with on-chain verification (like Chainlink). No single operator can predict or manipulate the output. Beacon tier provides on-chain proofs, while Rapid tier (coming Q2 2026) offers sub-100ms WebSocket delivery.
What's the difference between TrueRandom Beacon and Rapid?
TrueRandom Beacon is for on-chain applications (DeFi, NFTs, blockchain gaming) where trustless verification matters. Randomness is delivered on-chain with BLS signature proofs. TrueRandom Rapid is for latency-sensitive applications (real-time gaming, live events) where speed matters — sub-100ms delivery via WebSocket with cryptographic commitments for later verification.
How does TrueRandom compare to Chainlink VRF?
Chainlink VRF uses a single node with on-chain verifiable proofs. Gelato VRF uses drand (16+ distributed nodes) but cannot verify BLS signatures on EVM. TrueRandom combines both: dedicated 5-of-8 committee with on-chain BLS verification. Plus, TrueRandom allows unlimited derivations from a single beacon, reducing costs for applications needing many random values.
